First Post!

I spent this weekend working some more on my wash sale calculation program. The idea is to take XML input of sales and acquisitions, and output what the wash sales are. Given the absurdly complicated tax code, this software will be released as a demonstration of how software can make taxes easier, but should not be used for actual tax calculations.

That being said, I still have to:

• Fix the tests (I made some structural changes to the code without updating them).

• Re-write the code related to wash sale calculation (it is hammered out, but needs a revision).

• Test the calculation code as best as possible.

I am hoping to release this by the end of the year.

Secondly, work is… work. It is interesting, but time consuming and draining. I feel like I need a vacation or three at this point.
